The Absolute Standouts

The 2002/04 France #10 ZIDANE Home Jersey (L) leads the month. Les Bleus, adidas, Euro 2004 — Zidane at his most elegant on the international stage. This is the shirt every France collector measures the rest against.

The 2011/13 Argentina #10 MESSI Home Jersey (XL) covers the seasons when Messi went from phenomenon to inevitability — the Copa América at home, the road to 2014, and the calendar year he rewrote the goalscoring record books.

The 2006/07 Juventus #1 BUFFON GK Jersey (L) carries one of football’s great loyalty stories. Fresh from winning the World Cup, Buffon chose Serie B with a relegated Juventus rather than leaving — and walked straight back up as champions at the first attempt.

The 2002/04 Japan #7 NAKATA Home Jersey (S) is a piece of Asian football history — Nakata at his peak, in the kit cycle that made Japan a shirt-collecting nation. The 2012/13 Japan #4 KONNO Home Jersey (XL) continues that thread a decade on.

The 2012/13 Brazil #11 NEYMAR Home Jersey (S) captures Neymar before Europe — an Olympic silver at Wembley, then the 2013 Confederations Cup announcement. The 2018/19 PSG #10 NEYMAR JR Away Jersey (M) shows the other end of that story.

Two pieces are barely months old but already hard to find.
