Adidas partnered with Parley for the Oceans to create this special edition kit made from up-cycled marine plastic debris recovered from the Maldives. The all-white jersey features a clean design with tonal club crests, three stripes, and sponsor logos printed using environmentally friendly water-based ink. During the 2016/17 season, Real Madrid secured a double by winning both the UEFA Champions League and the Spanish La Liga titles. This eco-friendly uniform was worn on the pitch for only one match, which took place on November 26, 2016, when Real Madrid hosted Sporting de Gijón at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. In that one-off appearance, Madrid came from behind to win 2–1 with two stoppage-time goals.
