Barcelona set a new La Liga club record with 116 goals scored during the season, with the team ultimately winning the Copa del Rey by defeating Alavés 3-1 in the final to successfully defend their title. The most remarkable match came on 8 March 2017, when Barcelona wore the home kit for the historic "La Remontada" against Paris Saint-Germain, overcoming a four-goal deficit to win 6-1 at Camp Nou and advance 6-5 on aggregate in the largest comeback in UEFA Champions League history.
