The kit featured the classic Blaugrana stripes in bolder, darker tones with a distinctive V-neck collar incorporating the Catalan Senyera flag for the first time on the front of the shirt. This season marked Barcelona's historic second treble, winning La Liga, Copa del Rey and the UEFA Champions League under manager Luis Enrique. The attacking trio of Messi, Neymar and Luis Suárez scored a record 122 goals across all competitions. Barcelona sealed the treble with a 3-1 victory over Juventus in the Champions League final at Berlin's Olympiastadion on 6 June 2015, where Ivan Rakitić scored the opening goal.
