The adidas-designed kit, themed around the concept of “ENJIN” (the act of going into a huddle), features 11 lines spreading from the crest on the left chest, symbolising players breaking from the huddle to their positions. The back of the shirt incorporates a band inspired by the Brazilian “bonfim” good-luck charm, a nod to the 2014 World Cup host nation. Japan wore this kit through a memorable period — winning their first-ever EAFF East Asian Cup title in 2013, with #11 Yoichiro Kakitani earning the tournament’s top scorer award after netting three goals, including a brace in the final against South Korea. At the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, Japan were placed in Group C alongside Colombia, Greece, and Ivory Coast, ultimately finishing with one point from three matches. Kakitani made his national team debut wearing this very jersey at the 2013 East Asian Cup, scoring on his debut against China and going on to earn his place in Japan’s 2014 World Cup squad.
Jersey is in good condition. The pink band at the back is slightly sticky. Slight colorization to the nameset (see photos)
