1998/99 Inter Milan Home Jersey. This is Nike’s first home shirt for Inter Milan, marking the start of a partnership that continues today. The design features classic black and blue vertical stripes with a black polo collar with button placket, black trim on the sleeves and collar with subtle yellow accents, white Pirelli sponsor across the chest, gold star above the embroidered club crest, and yellow Nike swoosh on the right chest. The 1998–99 season was chaotic: Inter finished 8th in Serie A with 46 points, reached the Coppa Italia semi-finals (losing to eventual winners Parma), and made the Champions League quarter-finals where they lost to eventual champions Manchester United. The season saw four different managers (Simoni, Lucescu, Castellini, Hodgson). Star striker Ronaldo missed half the league campaign due to injury but still scored 14 goals in 19 appearances. Christian Vieri was signed for a world-record £32m after the season, and Marcello Lippi was appointed to end the title drought.
