1996/97 Man Utd Home Jersey. Produced by Umbro with long-time sponsor Sharp across the chest, the shirt features a classic red body with a black and white buttoned collar. United retained the Premier League title that season, finishing seven points clear of Newcastle, Arsenal and Liverpool to claim their fourth championship in five years. The campaign was Eric Cantona’s last: named club captain for the season, he scored 11 league goals and topped the league with 12 assists. His famous chip in the 5-0 home win over Sunderland came in this shirt. Cantona lifted the trophy as captain after the 2-0 final-day win over West Ham at Old Trafford, then announced his shock retirement in May 1997, aged just 30.
