Manufactured by Umbro and sponsored by ABN-AMRO, the shirt carries a red-and-white halved front with white sleeves, a design lineage that has become one of the most recognisable in club football history. This was the season Ajax completed a historic unbeaten Eredivisie campaign under Louis van Gaal, the first top-flight Dutch club to do so, finishing with 27 wins and just 7 draws from 34 matches. The same squad went on to lift the UEFA Champions League, beating AC Milan 1-0 in the Vienna final on 24 May 1995, with substitute Patrick Kluivert scoring the decisive goal in the 85th minute. The Ajax squad that season featured a golden generation including Edwin van der Sar, Frank and Ronald de Boer, Edgar Davids, Clarence Seedorf, Marc Overmars, Finidi George and Jari Litmanen.
