The season’s story includes a mid-season sponsor change: after Alpari entered insolvency following the Swiss franc shock in January 2015, West Ham briefly faced sponsorless fronts before announcing a record “principal sponsor” deal with Betway on 6 February 2015, debuting the Betway logo versus Manchester United two days later; the Betway version added a white panel with black lettering to the adidas claret-and-sky home design, while the team ultimately finished 12th with 47 points.
