2012/13 Japan Home Jersey. This adidas home shirt combines a dark blue base with a prominent red vertical central stripe, darker blue shoulder panels and white adidas stripes. Japan wore the design through the latter part of their Brazil 2014 World Cup qualifying campaign and at the 2013 Confederations Cup. Yasuyuki Konno wore No. 4 during this cycle; he was a regular international in 2012 and started all three of Japan’s matches at the 2013 Confederations Cup. A notable match in this jersey was the 4–3 defeat to Italy in Recife on 19 June 2013, when Japan scored through Keisuke Honda, Shinji Kagawa and Shinji Okazaki in a closely contested group-stage match.
