This Umbro away shirt was worn in José Mourinho’s second season in charge, with the side retaining the Premier League title and finishing eight points clear at the top in 2005/06. The away design used a pale blue-grey base and marked the final Chelsea kit produced by Umbro before the switch to adidas in the following season. A memorable match from this period came away to Barcelona in the Champions League on 7 March 2006, when Frank Lampard scored a stoppage-time penalty in a 1-1 draw at Camp Nou. Lampard during one of his strongest Chelsea seasons, as he scored 16 Premier League goals in another title-winning campaign.
