This O₂-sponsored Nike shirt accompanied Arsenal as defending “Invincibles” when their record 49-game league unbeaten run ended at Manchester United in October 2004. The team still finished second with 83 points and lifted the FA Cup after beating United 5-4 on penalties in Cardiff, the first final ever settled by a shoot-out. Thierry Henry struck 30 goals in all competitions, while Patrick Vieira captained Arsenal for the final time before joining Juventus, making this the last Highbury season with the famous Vieira-Henry core.
