2002/04 Japan Home Jersey. Made by adidas, the shirt features a deep blue base with red side piping, white three-stripe detailing across the shoulders and an embroidered JFA crest. It was worn by the Samurai Blue during the co-hosted 2002 FIFA World Cup, where Japan reached the Round of 16 for the first time in their history, and remained in use as the team retained the AFC Asian Cup in 2004 with a 3-1 final win over hosts China. Its most memorable outing came in the 2-0 group-stage victory over Tunisia, when #7 Hidetoshi Nakata scored the second goal. Nakata featured in all four of Japan’s matches at the tournament, while at club level he won the 2001-02 Coppa Italia with Parma before joining Bologna on loan in January 2004.
Brand New with Tag (BNWT) | Remarks | Minor cracking to the 3-stripe on the shoulder (see photos). Slight yellowing to the stripes and the nameset.
